Real/Fake on Dior Montaigne 30

Dior Montaigne 30 has been always in the spotlight since it launched. Its CD buckle and simple rectangular design can never be wrong. And because of how popular this bag is, there are many counterfeits on the market. We have come across an A+ counterfeit (at least I think it's an A+ lol) and would like to share with you!

On the outer appearance, there is no flaw can be found. I mean, the size and embossed leather at the back are very similar. What you can see with slight difference, is on the hardware. Usually a counterfeit hardware colour is yellower or fake gold colour which can tell. But this colour is similar as well. What we can compare is the rim of the CD logo. With the light reflection, you can see that the real one is flat comparing to the fake one. The fake CD logo is smoother and looking round on the rim.

Pay attention on the leather texture and stitches. These two parts are the hardest to duplicate. The stitching of an authentic item is always diagonal, while fake's stitching usually goes in straight line.

Another detail must be the hardware. Except the buckle part, we can always check the strap buckle as there are usually logo engraved and some detail can be seen, like the screw on different side. Their methods of engraving are usually different and easier to tell. But this fake engraving is in high quality! JUST.....still not the same! Ashamed!

Always! Always check the logo letters! Fonts, engraving and sizes must have slight different. Also, you can check the interior plated logo. Their gold plated surface might seem similar using your own eyes. But it shows differently under the camera. Fake ones are always smoother and thicker, without showing any leather texture.

This fake Dior Montaigne 30 is in full set as well. I didn't take detail photo on the box and dust bag. But I can tell that the texture are very similar!

To be honest, I am quite excited when receiving some high quality counterfeit now because I can share with you and educate myself with more knowledge and experience to distinguish real and fake items. But please, choose a trustworthy store and buy an authentic handbag!
