Coco Approved's Leather Care Tips That You Must Not Miss!
How long would you clean or condition your leather bags/ small leather goods once? Or.....you never did....
If you are struggling on how to take care of your expensive leather bags (or you are starting to learn from today), pay attention and read this article right now!
1. Storing Position
Please put your bags straight up and clean some space between bags, but not in a crowded space.
We prefer you putting a velvet cloth between the chain and leather at the top. Preventing any dent marks on the surface.
2. Storing in a box or dust bag?
The answer is: Put your bags in the dust bag instead of a box!
Take out your bags which stored in a box now! Hurry!
Leather needs to breathe. So do not put your leather bags in the boxes for long term storage. It's enough to use a dust bag to avoid scratches.
3. What to do when water spills on your leather goods?
First of all, DON'T PANIC!
Take a deep breathe and let it dry naturally. Yes!.... It can dry naturally just like our skin. Do not use a hairdryer or any other DIY methods trying to speed up the drying process. You would just make it worse or even damage the leather. Please just be patient :)
4. Wet wipes for leather cleaning
Not all the wet wipes can be used on leather surface. But yes, you can use specific kind of wet wipes to do little cleaning to your leather bags.
Make sure the wet wipes you use on the leather surface are alcohol-free and fragrance-free! It should be ok when it says "safe for baby".
5. Long-term Storage
As mentioned leather needs to breathe as well, don't just store leather goods in a closet for a long time.
Take them out from the closet for a break for 1 - 2 days every month. Or if you don't have enough space, the least you can do is to open the dust bags and closet door time to time.
But please in mind, NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT CONTACT !!
6. Stuffing in the handbags
People might use newspaper to stuff their bags. I know newspaper is handy to grab, but please don't as the ink printing on newspaper might rub off onto the interior in the bags. Get some bubblewrap or plain paper as the stuffing would be alright. Or else, you can always customise a puffy stuffing cushion for your beloved handbags!

Hi there, I have an authentic Chanel PST tote, that brought on eBay, my question is the lining in the bottom of the bag near the tag is ripped. I need to have a new lining put in. Also I need a new ring near the handle. Where can I get that reasonable price please. Also one other question where can you have a white, Chanel PST Cavi leather dyed a different
color. The lining in that is OK but it’s white and has like yellowish stains in the pocket in the lining. How would I get those stains out without damaging the pocketbook PS thank you
